It's been 20 (!!) years since the last film I printed after a summer camp in Croatia, and all those feelings of anticipation have completely vanished from my mind. Yet, there's something amazing about getting those prints in hand and stumbling upon shots I don't even recall taking. With 43k photos stored on my phone, 80% could've easily been dropped in the bin. It's sad how swiftly we've devalued the art of capturing a moment

Я всегда мечтала попасть на Камчатку, но по какой-то причине, это место очень долго оставалось просто мечтой. Вот уж точно, строить ‘недосягаемые’ мечты - мое хобби! Все же так просто, что даже смешно.

Я очень много лет слежу за научным судном, которое иногда берет туристов в свои экспедиции. Так и в этот раз наткнулась на очередной пост в инсте с приглашением на 8 дневную экспедицию на Камчатку, наблюдать за китами и касатками.

Интересно! А потом стало жаль проводить неделю в Тихом, ведь Камчатка намного шире.

Так начался поиск проводников. И всё было не то, и все не те. Для меня принципиально изучать новые территории с местными, которые безгранично влюблены в свой край, с теми, у кого глаза горят.

@oksana_eltcina было примерно 10-й с кем мы вышли на связь. Ее нам порекомендовал Наташин друг. К тому моменту сил общаться с кем-то еще уже не было, но когда я увидела ее сообщения и маршрут выстроенный по нашему плану с честными комментариями о местах, которые мы хотели увидеть, у меня отпали все сомнения и вопросики. Это была она! Та самая, не обещающая золотых гор, с огромным уважением к природе, истории края, с бесконечной жаждой к жизни, желанием показать и рассказать как можно больше.

Оксана не стремилась продать тур и без глянца рассказывала о том, как может быть. Других проводников в эту удивительную Камчатскую Нарнию я для себя не видела. Как хорошо, что тут мы с Наташей пришли к общему знаменателю.

На деле все оказалось даже лучше: Оксана влюбляет в себя моментально своим внутренним светом, заботой и теплом. С ней душевно и спокойно сидеть на Халатырском пляже на бревне, слушать прибой такого не тихого Тихого, “охотиться” на медведей, покорять Горелый или просто болтать за утренним кофе.

В мире так много мест, где моя нога еще не ступала и так сравнительно мало мест, где я успела побывать, но Камчатка, как Бразилия и Шри Ланка всегда будут занимать отдельное место. Сами понимаете благодаря кому. Логично, что я уже собираю мини-группу на поездку с нами следующим летом. Это, кстати, искренняя рекомендация, если Камчатка и ваша пока еще не сбывшаяся мечта

Zanzibar was supposed to be this awesome adventure that included a safari on the mainland. Things didn't go as planned, and the weather messed everything up. The vacation still turned out to be amazing, and now it only means I have an excuse to go back and explore more of the mainland.

On New Year's Eve, we crossed paths with a kind person named Izi, and instead of a safari, he took us on the most eye-opening tour of Stone Town. Thank you for letting us get to know history with your eyes!
