"Becoming local in Dubai" Part 3

Iri

Hey there! Three weeks into my new life in Dubai, and the adventure continues. Here's what I've discovered this week:

  • Did you know there's a slice of Oman right here on UAE soil? It's definitely on my list of places to explore!

  • Metro stations seem to have a revolving door of names, all thanks to sponsorship contracts with companies. Talk about keeping things fresh!

  • Dubai may glitter with gold, but it's also home to its fair share of gold diggers.

  • Rain, oh how I miss you! There's something about the sound of raindrops that soothes the soul.

  • Residency paperwork means medical checks, including blood tests and lung x-ray. Mandatory hoops to jump through, but necessary for the next chapter.

  • Work has been a rollercoaster – weird and, dare I say, underpaid? Time for some reflection.

  • Brunch culture in Dubai is a whole new ball game. Forget late breakfast – it's a lavish affair that deserves its own post. Stay tuned for more on that!

Three weeks down, and Dubai continues to surprise and intrigue. Can't wait to see what the next week brings!

Catch you later!
